The Palisades Restoration Base is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the restoration of Pacific Palisades following the devastating Palisades fire. With a focus on multi-generational families and businesses, we aim to provide support to victims who fear they may not have a chance to rebuild and continue their lives in their hometown.
Pacific Palisades is a vibrant community that spans a wide range of socio-economic demographics. Unfortunately, the working class has been dwindling as an influx of developers and the rising demand for ultra-luxury housing have continued to drive up real estate values. These working-class families and community-run businesses—many of which have been here for generations—will be the first to feel the pressure from insurance companies and developers to sell their land and take their payouts elsewhere. PRB aims to provide the support these community members need to fight for their right to rebuild and remain in Pacific Palisades.
In partnership with local organizations, we will offer critical guidance to fire victims who wish to rebuild in Pacific Palisades. We will help them navigate the numerous obstacles presented after a natural disaster, including:
• Interim housing
• Site cleanup
• Property tax forgiveness
• Mortgage forbearance
• Permit acquisition
• Architectural planning
• Contractor relations
Our dedicated team of volunteers, along with the funds raised by PRB, will provide the necessary support to help victims rebuild and continue their lives as residents of Pacific Palisades.
